This is an image from my recent Southwest trip which included the Arches NP, Canyonlands, and Zion NP. For this image I had a particular hard time blending and to get this image I had to do three images and blend them together using a program called Exposure Fusion. Merging the three together allowed me to keep detail in the image and the rocks as well as not blow any highlights from the sun. I also was able through this program to avoid lens flare and get a tight sunburst. What was unique about this was the fact we were able to get snow in the Arches..
Thanks again to Douglas Dietker for joining me and putting up with my and my craziness the whole time...
