Standing In The Middle Of Nowhere : Olympic National Park

Newer Older

This is an image from awhile back of a photographer that got stuck out at high tide. It was not my intention to shoot this fellow photographer but he would not move and it was right in the middle of where I wanted to shoot. After awhile I gave up and tried to work him into the image. This image won the category of best adventure for a National Geographic Photo Contest which was published in the National Geographic December 2008 issue. I was very happy to win the category but I missed out on the grand prize of a trip to two to AFRICA by a bit. Anyways, I am posting this image as I am doing a story on my blog about EXTREME PHOTOGRAPHY and thought this was very fitting

It reminds me of photos of someone climbs a mountain above a layer of clouds, around dawn or dusk. Either way this photo is majestic
