These stalls built close to the busy road junction have been in business for decades, serving the local residents as well as off-duty factory workers in the past.


Back in early 80s when there were significant presence of active factory blocks, the hawker business was booming and there were bowls and toughs put on ground with live fishes swimming, either from the river or marine origin, water often poured in to keep them 'fresh' at the expense of rendering the road surface slippery and sting.
