Monument to the Fallen Fighters of the Korean People's Army, Pyongyang, 1959
평양 조선인민군추모탑.
This rather modest monument was erected in 1959 at the eastern slope of Haebang Hill in downtown Pyongyang. It was demolished some ten years ago. After the unveiling of the pompous Monument to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War in 1993, the old monument was probably no longer deemed necessary.
