Grave of Han Sol Ya (Han Sŏrya)
Han Sol Ya was a leading North Korean writer in the 1950s. An untalented and clumsy author, he specialized in turning out literature glorifying Kim Il Sung. His most infamous work, the story "Wolves" (승냥이, aka Jackals), tells of an American missionary who murders an innocent Korean boy. His shameless adulation did not save him from being purged in 1962-63 but he was eventually rehabilitated.
