b.l.t. burger "soft-opened" this week. their official opening is this tuesday. they're still getting up to speed there. the service was actually remarkable (other than waiting 30 minutes for a seat with half of the tables open to give the kitchen a chance to catch up with orders). the food is not quite there yet. the bottom bun was soggy the moment it hit the table. however, the burger was well seasoned and cooked. my friend ordered the kobe beef burger ($16 for 6 oz. burger!) and suffered from buyer's remorse. with laurent tourondel's record, i'm going to give b.l.t. a chance to get on their feet before passing final judgement on the place. that said, they've really got some work before they can hang with the likes of shake shack, royale, j.g. melon, or even corner bistro.
