LTC Jeffrey D. Cole Armory, Nov. 17, 2023

On Nov. 17, 2023, the Kentucky National Guard named the armory in Middlesboro the "LTC Jeffrey D. Cole National Guard Armory" to honor the late LTC Jeff Cole, who distinguished himself throughout his career as a model Citizen-soldier, leader, family man, and active member in his community. He served many roles in the 1st Battalion, 149th Infantry, including company commander for Middlesboro's Delta Company and later commanding officer of the Mountain Warrior battalion before sadly losing his life to a battle with cancer. The ceremony was attended by more than 100 family, friends, and fellow Mountain Warriors.
