Mr Fox takes a nap
We have had a young fox coming around for several months, probably from last year's litter that grew up in our garden. Despite using our garden as his haven and spending several hours a day in it, he is still very wary of humans and we have respected his wishes, neither driving him away or feeding him. On the whole, he seems to feel safe here, but has been rather lonely.
A few days ago, we saw another fox of much the same age coming into the garden with him and we now see them frequently together. They are both males.
The 'new' one seems to be settling down well and this is a typical picture of him taking his ease. I will post another shot of the two of them together.
As usual, I have to take these shots from inside the house, shooting through double-glazing, so the detail isn't as good as I would like. The camera is my trusty Nikon D300 and the lens used is a 55-300 Nikkor VR, all hand-held with the ISO raised to 1250.
