Eye Artistry of Mickey's Soundsational Parade

I rented a large telephoto lens Labor Day weekend to try to focus on the eye makeup used by the performers in Mickey's Soundsational Parade. If you have seen the parade then you know the wonderful artistry that went into the makeup around the eyes. When the performers pause for a second (more like 1/100 of a second) to flash their eyelids it is really very spectacular.

This idea started as kind of a whim. I had a passing thought (one of many) that there might be an interesting series in getting up close to look at all the colors used in the eye makeup. I made a remark on Jane Lee's photograph that showed the details of the eye makeup. She encouraged me to go ahead and do a series on it.

So this is the next photo in the series.

The complete set can be found in the set Eye Artistry
