My entry for Urban Thread's "Throw out the colour sheet" competition ... so I did :-)

I loved the detail in the stitching so much that I thought that the design was strong enough to work on it's own without any colour at all. I lit the embroidery from the side to try to enhance the view of the stitches, which I hope comes across in the photo. In real life it looks stunning.

Look at the detail of the direction of the stitching, such as along the line of the chin, on the shoulder, and all the individual hair scrolls. Very intricate detail built up from 15 layers. I would love to see how the large size (148 x 149 mm) version looks in one colour.

This design is the small 97 x 98 mm design embroidered on a Brother PE150 in white.

Fantastic, like the way the lighting shows up the 3 D effect on the pattern, hope it wins, it deserves to.
