Cheeky (my best friend)

While she was playing with her inseparable cousin, I commented “playing with your best friend I see”. Instantly consumed with indignation she informed me that I was her best friend. All the while her cousin looked at me in disbelief of my apparent ignorance. Then in the next instance they resumed their play and all was forgotten.

 

I had just been schooled by zen masters.
