Flower In The Rain
The carnation in my veranda.
Set up -
It was a beautiful morning with boats in the lake and fresh flowers on the deck table .. so I had to do something. So I set up one of the carnations against the lake and sprinkled water over it - I don't have a hose or anything, so I used a colander (!) and with the camera on a tripod and on the timer, I then photographed 'the rain' over the flower. For the water streaks to appear, this has to be backlit (so the sun was behind the flower - it was early morning, the sun has just risen - my veranda faces east) and the speed has to be slow, probably 1/60 sec or even slower.
Hope you like.
