Urgel Cinema, Barcelona, Spain
Located at Carrer del Comte d'Urgell, 29 in the south west of the city centre. The Urgel Cinema opened on 20th September 1963 with Dorothy Dandridge in "Carmen Jones". It was built for the Balana group and was designed by architect Antoni Bonamusa with a seating capacity of 1,832 (originally planned for 2,324).
It remains the premiere cinema in Barcelona.
