Teatro Arnau, Barcelona, Spain

Located at Avinguda del Paral.lel, 60 in a district south of the city centre. This opened as a live theatre on 28th October 1903. It was designed by architect Andres Audet i Puig with a seating capacity of 707. Some films were screened from 1904. It was re-named Teatro Follies Bergere in May 1915.


From 31st May 1930 it went over to full-time cinema use as the Cine Arnau and this continueds until it closed on 21st December 1982. It reverted back to live theatre use and this closed in 2004. The building has been purchased by the city for possible conversion into a performing arts centre.
