Teatre Tivoli, Barcelona, Spain
Located at Carrer de Casp, 10 in the north of the city centre. The Teatre Tivoli opened on 22nd May 1875. It replaced an older theatre which opened in 1848. The Tivoli screened its first film in June 1913. It was reconstructed in May 1919 by architect Miguel Madorell i Rius. The seating capacity is 1,643.
From 3rd October 1930 it became a full-time cinema and this continued into the 1960's when stage shows began again. It has been operated by the Balana group for may years.
