    Located at Savoy Parade, Southbury Road, Enfield, Middlesex. The Savoy cinema opened in 1935 with a seating capacity of 2,242. Architect: George Coles. It was re-named ABC in 1962 and later became Cannon. Closed as a 4-screen ABC in 1997. Later demolished for access road to a Tesco supermarket.

      Oh my gosh, I remember watching Gremilns 2 there (as well as many other films). Lol! Remember the interval with the people with the ice-creams?

      When I moved to Enfield last year my mum told me about the cinema but I had no idea what it looked like (she lived in Enfield in the early 80s). Thanks for putting this up! :)

      I think the last film I saw there was The Money Pit in 1986!

      I went to school not far from here & used to go past it usually twice a day (depending which bus route I took on the way home!)

      i had forgotten about this one.Dont think i ever went but did go to Odeon in town.As a Waltham Abbey kid my local was the Embassy

      Great memories mate, went there all the time. remember 55p entrance for kids in early 80's. Saws Jaws, Star Wars when it was one screen.

      I saw my first film there Star Wars the ques was round the block and we got the last 4 tickets for that showing
