Concert Rig

Newer Older

This is the setup i used for live sound for a band concert. It starts with my G5 iMac. My iMac is tethered by Bluetooth to my Blackberry Pearl for wireless internet hook-up. Sound wise- the iMac is Hooked up to a Mackie 1604VLZ that is running alongside an Alesis Effects Processor, through a Behringer Compressor, then through a 2 Channel EQ. Speakers were JBL MR-835 3-Way powered by a QSC Powerlight Amplifier and a Crown XTi 4000 Amplifier powering a JBL MRX528S Dual 18" Subwoofer.

Just out of curiosity, what is the iMac for even? If it's just to play iTunes music, wouldn't it be easier to use an iPod?

Have you played with the Mackie Onyx series at all? They have firewire output capability so you can multitrack right into your iMac.
