One Country, Two Systems / 一国两制
China is probably is the only country that has two systems in the world. It was named by the Chinese government that one country two systems. Hong Kong was colonized by Britain invaders who handed back to China in 1997. After that, the economy of one of the most prosper territory encountered a downturn. Taiwan which was separated from mainland China during civil war in 1949. Some Taiwan people didn't admit Taiwan is part of China and some foreign friends also mentioned they support the independent of Taiwan because it has been over 50 years since Chinese government failed to claim the territory back.
Systems or politics are not my concern and none of my business. What I could see from the bank note is we share same culture, we share same spirit.
Taiwan and Hong Kong kept the traditional Chinese whereas mainland China wants to keep writing simple and started using simplified Chinese. Although the writing is different some people in these two areas said we as mainland Chinese people lost a number of culture, heritage...
Look back upon the last two decades, we prospered our economy but we sacrifice quite a lot of culture. Is it worth doing in that way?
