It stopped raining for a few hours earlier this week and I managed to get down to the old townsite of Conrad on the Windy Arm. Now overgrown, there's not much there except the remains of an old mining tramway up the backside of Montana mountain and some spectacular scenery. When I arrived, the lake was smooth as glass for a short while, giving some great reflections. The green strip is where the water gets deep at the drop-off, a very cool feature when the light catches it right. It clouded over a little later and began raining again, the story of the summer so far.
