Brandy Goes to Carcross
Must view large: click on it:)
A view of Nares Lake and Nares Mountain in Carcross on a warm June day. Brandy was enjoying the water so much, I kept him in the frame, and consider the photo a Brandy shot rather than a landscape as originally intended. It was cool and wet last summer, and this was one of the few times he got to go in the water, something he loves to do being part poodle.
Technical: I used a circular polarizer to help saturate the colours and create cloud contrast. I think I'm done with it, and won't be using it any more. They're more trouble than they're worth imho. My D7000 hates it on a wide angle lens, creating a dark blob in the center of the sky. The D60 used here is much more forgiving, but one can get similar results in post-processing without the hassle of using a polarizer.
