Necrophorus investigator

Burying beetle (Necrophorus investigator) found at Senja isle in North Norway. Locally known as Åtselgraver (carrion digger).

On it were small orange mites living in symbiosis with the beetle.

When the beetle got ready to fly, the mites got on top of the beetle, to hold on to the wing shields.
