The Mrdanga is a terracotta two-sided drum used in northern and eastern India for accompaniment with devotional music (bhakti). It originates from the Indian states of West Bengal Assam and Manipur. On the third Thursday at 7th and Spring in Downtown LA at the Artwalk, you can hear the drums and see the dancing of passers by and the Hare Krishnas. HCS!
