    The wrting below the photo on the album page reads "Lane and Eva." There's a date of 1924 on the page. Take a look at the image in the large or - I highly recommend - the original size view, where you can best see the spirit between the two. I'd considered cropping the image to show the couple more closely, then decided that the full scene was important, and that the viewer could look more closely by using the original size (which is so worth it!).

    See the original image prior to many hours of restoration here. The above image might not look all that restored, but when you see the original, you see the difference. I left the gray mottled patterning in this restored image because I felt that most of it was related to the weather - the snow... overcast sky... and maybe it was even snowing when the photo was shot. I also had to be careful to not remove something that was not deterioration-related. Where I couldn't be sure, I left it.
