Party of Lights
EXPLORED ON 06 JUNE 2009 - # 279
“The stars are the street lights of eternity.”
The night lights of the Esplanade are brilliant. You must see it to believe it. As we spent a lot of time shooting here, Prabhakaran and I had found many a vantage point to shoot these party of lights.
As we walked around the most popular venues for concerts, I found this point of view that struck me very much. A number of blue balloons were laid on a stretch of water, which would normally be a fountain. The blue lights beautifully contrasted against the yellow of the building. I did not want to miss this shot, so despite bragging to Prabhakaran earlier, that I was done for the day, I opened my bag and started to get ready.
My camera had my super wide angle 16-35mm lens attached, which was perfect.
Rather than set it on a tripod, I set my equipment on the deck of the fountain. As I set my exposure bias to -1, my meter indicated a 30 seconds exposure at F22.
Here is what came out. Look Carefully at the star effects on the lights of the building, and look at its reflection.
Let me know what you think?
