Happy Birthday Mubina. May you rise above the muddy waters of life, and blossom like this wonderful Lotus.
I was pretty bummed early morning yesterday. My camera lens, especially the 100-400mm that I had borrowed from Prabhakaran, was suffering from heavy condensation. I think the humidity did it. So I decided to wait for it to dry. I did not want to miss this Lotus, which was standing so beautifully.
The wait took forever, and I was getting more and more frustrated as the light was changing quickly. My friend was telling me that the longer the lens, the longer it needs to de-condense. And it took me almost an hour.
But life has its own mysterious ways. Just when I was thinking the light was too harsh to capture this image, a cloud passed the sun and brought a unique feel to the scene. There was softness in general, and most of the pond was in the shade. But a small opening in the cloud beautifully lit up the flower.
Sometimes, there is good in every situation, even if it is not what we exactly expect.
Photographed with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and Canon EF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 IS USM L Lens. Handheld.
