Another treasure from the Macro field. As we were wading through the lush pumkin field, I found this beautiful pumpkin flower set against the green leaves of the creeper.

On closer look, I was fascinated by the trails of lines on the flower, with miniscule hair that dominated its texture. A superb macro subject.

As I began to prepare my gear, this bug (which I have called as a bee, calling upon the rights of artistic licence, just to rhyme with the title), flew in and perched on the flower and started to consume it.

Lucky for it, that it found food to live. Lucky for me, that I found fodder for my camera.

Enjoy. View in Large please.

I have to thank Prabhakaran for "permanently" loaning his macro lens. LOL
