“God's promises are like the stars; the darker the night the brighter they shine”
Photography is about capturing light. Whatever kind of light it is, whatever time of day (or night) it is. So be it sunrise, broad daylight, or night time, one can find me occupied with my camera.
Night time particularly has a charm of its own, and given the right ways to capture light then, some beautiful shots can come out.
Raj here is a peddler of goods, who moved from Mumbai to Chennai. He sells toys that illuminate at night, which gets the kids all excited.
When I encountered him this night, I asked him if he would be my subject. He told me he would oblige if I bought something from him. We bought some of his stuff and he was ready to complete his part of the deal.
I set my camera on a tripod and composed him along with the mood of the beach in the background.
Setting it to a long exposure of around 14 seconds, I asked him to twirl two balls, one in each hand. I was excited with the wheels of light that got generated. His face does not show the sharpness one would want, as he surely could not be perfectly still for 14 seconds. But I am quite happy with the way the other details in the background have turned out.
