This man was so nice to photograph. He is a potter. He uses the traditional wheel to transform clay into beautiful pots.
This art form is dying in India as people are choosing to buy plastic or other syntheic containers now. He observed that the scenario was no different even in villages.
Yet, unmoved by all this, he told us, that his family had been potters for generations, and he will continue to cherish doing this with sincerity. Incidentally, he also had his son by his side who was learning these skills as his protége.
You can see the wheel he uses in the background, as well as the tiny pot that he was shaping, which is in his hands. I love the morning sun lighting up his face.
