It surprises me, really, that I don't see more pictures of this doorway -- There are so many hundreds of great shots in it (congratulations on the ones you've captured). It surprises me also that I've only been there once -- you've inspired me to go back.

Hello there, this 100 pointer of a photo has been chosen for the 1on1 group "main" Hall of Fame [not to be confused with the HOF of the month] CONGRATS!

Nice shot. How can parts of Glen Echo Park be allowed to just deteriorate like this?

    5. katmeresin 99 months ago | reply

They are constantly doing work to renovate the park. It appears that the pool has been gone for sometime, and they have kept the facade of this for old times sake. I am not sure if they plan to renovate this or not. I know that much of the rest of the park has been or is being fixed.

great shot. I took a few of the same doors but they didn't come out nearly as well.

I love how you took something that's wonderful to gaze at, as much of Glen Echo is, and turned it into a work of art. The way you added your own interpretation to this building and the way you force the viewers eyes to focus on the building is terrific -- this is a stunning photograph.

And congratulations on being selected to be in the DCist Exposed Show.

Great photo - I have to jump in with some "Glen Echo Info" - take the pictures of this dilapidated door now, because in 6 months it will be refurbished. The Park is slowly getting renovated and this is one of the last parts to get redone.

      Not a lensbaby, just iphoto6.

Katey, that is good info to know!
