In April 2016, we spent a week on the island of Terceira in the Azores. The Azores are located about 900 miles off the coast of Portugal.
We walked into town every night for dinner. Restaurants didn't open until 6:30pm and customers didn't start to arrive until 7pm or later, much later than we're used to. Dinner was always unrushed and typically took 2 hours. Prices seemed reasonable to us. We always had to ask for the check when WE were ready to leave.
This was a second floor restaurant that everyone felt was very good. The decor was as "old world" as it gets but we noticed that most of the customers were tourists.
