    well, normally this package is a bit over $1,000 and I paid the above price. Pete - I would check it out - faculty get the student edition prices.

    If you're not faculty, another good way to save money on Adobe software is to buy off of ebay. You can often times find still-sealed discs that are outside of the cardboard box the DVD case comes in. You can save about $800 purchasing that. (Then, after that, it's just the $600 upgrade fee.)

    My department is strapped... My office machine came with os9 on it.... That's a good price though... Did you buy through adobe directly?

    I bought it at newegg.com

    BUT get the educational version NOT the student version - my mistake. Even if you are faculty they won't let you use the student version. doh!
