Us as kids
My sister Kari found this photo of the four of us kids. It looks like it was taken when I was about 7 (circa 1977).
My brother is no longer with us. He passed away in January of 2005. He left behind a then 5 year old girl who was the apple of his eye and definitely the star of his world.
My sister Kristi has no idea why she is flashing the Peace Sign. I tell her she must have been a flower child (hey, it was the 70s and she was hip/trendy like that.) She doesn't think so. Better the Peace Sign than flipping off the camera.
I'm wearing what looks to be like my second favorite pair of pants. Maybe the third favorite. All made by my mom. The first prized pants had Raggedy Ann, the second had French Fries. And these? I think they are orange-checked/striped with Holly Hobby. Good lord. I wonder if Neiman Marcus sells them now? LOL
My sister Kari has always had that lovely smile. I think the bike is hers too. I don't remember. I just remember reaching in to the basket one day to take a bite out of the apple I had there (partially munched on throughout the day), only to be stung by a bee who thought my snack looked like his.
The older we get, the more I wonder about life then and now. Don't you?
