well, this sure did take an unexpected turn. but alas, winter is the perfect time to experiment. even though ive known ever since i started photography what kind of images i wanted to make, i dont think there is any harm in letting inspiration go where it wants, even if that strays from the typical. i dont want to be an artist who gets stuck in a box that ive made for myself. sometimes i just want to create without a care in the world (plus i didnt like my last photo all that much, hehe).
initially, this was supposed to be a photo of kenzie looking rather lion-like, and full of power. but the image was looking really bland so i decided to play. and apparently my love of water prevails - even when everything outside is frozen. :P i just started to love how kenzies hair really looked like it was flowing underwater, and her lashes began to remind me of coral ( also, i accidentally glued kenzies eyes shut with those lashes - epic FAIL. but kenzie is such a sweetie, she took it rather well if i dont say so myself).
today i also went out and met up with a new local photographer, jared, who took some pictures of me! im really excited to see how they turned out.
