Katrine Rocks (1)

Loch Katrine, Trossachs.

I'd been shooting earlier at Loch Arklet and I was in "explorer" mode .. spending an hour or so just wandering round searching out new shooting locations before I went home. The light had well and truly gone by the time I reached this location but I was attracted by the mica schist rocks (the pre-cambrian metamorphic rock which comprises the majority of the bedrock between the highland fault and the great glen fault - brilliant to look at but a bitch to climb, especially when wet) just under the mirror-calm surface of Loch Katrine.
