White Sewing Machine Accessory
when I was in 7th grade we had to take Home Ec. Girls had Home Ec boys, shop, it was the was it was.
We learned how to make hot chocolate - how to know when the milk was scalding. We learned how to sew. First we did hand sewing exercises. Different stitches which we would need, for life. Then we started on the patterns. ALL of my friend's mother sewed, mine didn't. She was an adventurous cook but she didn't need to know how to sew because she had my Grandmother and Great Grandmother who were amazing seamstresses. The made her evening gowns and all my dolls clothes. I was convinced that I was going to fail Home Ec because we didn't have a sewing machine so my grandmother bought me one of my own. I learned how to follow patterns and made lots of skirts in high school. I never really knew what all the gizmos were for .They look like crazy robots. I still have them all and the box they came in. My sewing machine needs work, though.
