Stand Tall 2013 - 50 years of Colchester Zoo

Sponsor - McDonalds

Artist - Nathan Smith

Design - 'Jamboree'

What inspired the design?

Jamboree is based on some of the patterns and colours used in Dogon rituals.

The Dogon are agricultural people who live in south-eastern Mali (West Africa) best known for their fantastical myths and rituals which represent an extremely intricate and complex cosmology.

About the Sponsor

Come and enjoy the new changes at McDonald’s Colchester.

It’s the ideal destination to take a break, with an indulgent brownie made from real Belgian Chocolate enjoyed with a Cappuccino or Latte made with freshly ground Rainforest Alliance Arabica beans and semi-skimmed organic milk from the British Isles.

Everyone’s welcome for Breakfast, with a range of products to satisfy all tastes - freshly prepared porridge, muffins, bagels, scrambled or poached eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes.

Lunch and Dinner menus offer freshly prepared wraps, toasted deli sandwiches and premium salads, as well as children’s meals with our famous Chicken McNuggets, made from 100% white chicken breast meat.

Our warm welcome now extends right through the night at Cowdray Avenue where we are open 24/7. The High Street is open till 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights too.
