Wagon Ruts on the Santa Fe Trail
A small piece of virgin prairie land remains east of Baldwin City, Kansas, near the place where once stood the town of Black Jack. A foot path leads into the prairie where it is easy to see (but difficult to effectively photograph at mid-day) the deep swales (ruts) left by the wagons on the Santa Fe Trail.
