Daniel Murphy Mansion

"Some of the characteristics of the Italian type of architecture have been carried into the home of Mr. Murphy. It is an extremely large house and well constructed. The grounds in the rear are especially beautiful and are laid out in terraced flower beds and Japanese water gardens. Many beautiful and rare plants and flowers are grown with great skill and success. The grounds are large, the front being kept in lawn, the drives being bordered with shrubs and plants."
