White Spirit Wolf: Mixel technique

This photograph shows the back side of the build, where you can zoom in and see the use of the Mixel towball joints reinforced with additional plates. I also invented some spars that connect the Technic truss to sections of the plates for strength and making sure the model remains mostly consistent in shape and symmetrical.

The White Spirit Wolf

The spirit wolf appears in many North American native lore and spirituality. This build was a challenge to learn a new type of technique using Mixel ball joints to mesh wedge plates together into a sculptural bust. Many sculpters make marble busts, for me this was the LEGO equivalent to make an art sculpture.

I learned the build method from Brick Science on YouTube. www.youtube.com/channel/UCpQB577lHFyWTyvrS73Ldlg

Riley is a TFOL who lives about an hour south in Colorado, and over a video call he was able to show me some of his models and reinforcement methods.
