      Sun-In was the worst hair mistake I ever made. Dark brown hair + Sun In + not thinking it would really work so left it on for hours while playing tennis = BAD SUMMER.

      I had light reddish-brown hair when I used this stuff the summer of 1977. I ended up with reddish-orange hair. Not a pretty sight.

      It basically was watered-down peroxide with a little conditioner thrown in. That's why it also worked "without the sun." Sun-In probably was fine for natural blondes, but I had dark auburn hair, and it made it a brassy red. Ugh.

      I remember using this in the 80s and having it turn my hair orange.
