Monkey Business

    Newer Older

Monkey flowers of various kinds were all over Tioga Pass recently. These Seep Monkey Flowers were growing in a ditch where a tiny stream was gurgling it's way along the roadside. Staring right into their throats like this, they almost look like a glee club about to burst into song.

Please come follow my latest endeavor, the Wildflower Conservancy. You'll find lots of helpful information as well as reports from recent wildflower sightings. Thank you!

Nice! Interesting that there are NO spots on this usually spotted species -- but there's little doubt this is Mimulus guttatus

Nice! Interesting that there are NO spots (well, maybe some TINY ones) on this usually distinctly spotted species -- but there's little doubt this is Mimulus guttatus...

These can be tiny little things. It takes a macro like yours to show their glory.
