Magnificent Lupine

Indeed magnificent and that's actually its name: Lupinus magnificus. It was impossible to get any detailed closeups of the entire spike because each one was 2-3 feet tall and covered from top to bottom with these little flowerlets. So I opted to move in closer and focus on the symmetry of each circular cluster. Almost like little pagodas architecturally, their delicate beauty and sweet fragrance took my breath away.

Please come follow my latest endeavor, the Wildflower Conservancy. You'll find lots of helpful information as well as reports from recent wildflower sightings. Thank you!
