Indeed magnificent and that's actually its name: Lupinus magnificus. It was impossible to get any detailed closeups of the entire spike because each one was 2-3 feet tall and covered from top to bottom with these little flowerlets. So I opted to move in closer and focus on the symmetry of each circular cluster. Almost like little pagodas architecturally, their delicate beauty and sweet fragrance took my breath away.
