Above the Crowd
Blue Dicks aka "Wild Hyacinth" (dichelostemma capitatum) are often a challenge to photograph because they stand tall on slender stems and wave in the slightest breeze. Once again, I'm thankful for image stabiization because the winds were really blowing the day I photographed this in the Kern County Mountains. The pink in the background is Owl's Clover.
