Last year, I was unable to get a good shot of the Hummingbird Sage on Figueroa Mountain. Too far away and I didn't have snake proof footware. But I seem to have hit the H.S. jackpot this year as these were blooming along the road and easily accessible.
I do need to give a huge shout out to Helen Tarbet of the Forest Service. She sends out wonderfully detailed wildflower reports on Figueroa Mountain each year. Contact her at email@example.com and ask to be put on her mailing list.
(And be sure to bring your Adventure Pass when you visit Figueroa Mountain!)
