      Great photo! The Mobil pegasus was a charming icon that I always got a kick out of when I was a child. A winged horse, ...hahahaha! I used to know all the places in Amarillo where there was one of these signs. I don't now, but I do remember there was an exceptionally large one downtown, maybe about 8th and Jackson, where there was a garage.

      I've been considering getting a neon Mobil pegasus clock, they are available.

      I don't really remember any of the old Mobil stations. I do really remember the Exxon up at I-40 and Washington. I was a huge fan of the "tiger in your tank" ads.

      Don't forget, my mother's office, "Town and Country Real Estate" was in that same block.

      No, no, the Exxon station was on the north side of I-40. Where the parking lot for Albertson's ended up being (Albertson's is closed now as well).

      Oh, OK, maybe you're right about the Exxon station, but I was thinking there was a station on the S.E. corner also? So long ago now.
