Angkor east gopura

Angkor Wat (built 1113-1150AD during the reign of Suryavarman II). A Hindu temple and later converted to Buddhism use, occupied 200h and is world largest religious structure.

Often ignored relative to the west gopura (Angkor grand entrance), this backdoor much less decorated, offers some of the most exquisite Apsara sculptures to rival those found adorning the wall of Angkor central sanctuary.
