The Victorian Players Theater, Mahoning Commons, Youngstown, Ohio

702 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44502

Cross over the Spring Common Bridge (west-bound) to Mahoning Avenue into the artsy neighborhood of Youngstown's Mahoning Commons; go under the arched Spring Common Underpass; look right—and you'll find the Victorian Players Theater.

The little theater off Spring Common is a lovely old church (Church of St. George) built in the 1890's converted into a small, intimate theater by the founder of the Victorian Players, former Youngstown State University professor Dr. Jean McClure Kelty (deceased 2003). The Victorian Players specializes in plays written during the reign of Queen Victoria
