Extreme Family Photo - Bathroom Edition
I love it when a plan comes together. I've known the two girls in the photo for quite a while, my kids when to daycare and school with them, so they were incredibly comfortable with me when I started setting up in their home. The only real problem was that I wasn't paying enough attention to "Tea time" in the doll room.
The family had just had their home renovated, and wanted something with a bit of formality. Obviously, my next idea was to throw them in the bathtub, fully dressed with bubbles everywhere. It was a blast and we got a lot of great shots, and ended up combining two in post to get the best of both sides of the tub.
I had a Manfrotto Magic Arm attached to the bathroom door booming my Canon 5D3 with a 17-40 f/4L over the tub.
Strobist info: Elinchrom Ranger Quadra through a 135cm Midi Octa, boomed over the shower curtain rod and angled towards the back wall. With all this white, one giant soft source is all we needed without going too specular, and keeping the tones even all the way down. Triggered with skyports.
