Twilight on the beach.

It's surprising how many photographs you can archive if you shoot once a week. When we first started creating content for this website, we thought we would aim to create between 3-5 great images each time we went out. The first time we went out I only made one image - and that was the very first post for this blog. Subsequent trips have yielded more images, and now that we've been at it for a few months, it is fun to go back through the archives and post some older material.
One morning I headed out for Olive Park and the Ohio street beach to catch sunrise. I took a bunch of images and then set up to wait for sunrise. It was no where near as cold as it had been recently, but it was cold enough that 20 minutes of not moving hit me like a ton of bricks. My hands were frozen despite the gloves and it was torture to turn all the dials on the camera. This was before I fully appreciated that the best light happens about 30 minutes prior to sunrise and those images that came after the sun peaked out were largely boring :(
This one I am rather fond of though, that's the moon in the upper left, peaking through the near-north skyline.
