Sunset in North Conway
This weekend my brother and I went up to New Hampshire to catch the sunrise from Mount Washington. They only open 3 times each year at an early enough time to let photographers do this. Well, it was a bust. The mountain was completely fogged out. But, at least I was able to catch an awesome sunset from one of the "scenic overlooks" in North Conway on the way up. There had been thunderstorms that were breaking up just as the sun was going down. This was taken almost exactly at sunset.
Note in the data below: the widest angle possible is not always what gives the best view in landscape photography. A wider angle made the mountains too tiny and nearly eliminated the detail in the clouds near the horizon. Also, this is not HDR.
